Canadian-born Ben Ing is the co-owner & Chef of ‘Alberta’s Kitchen & Store’, a 32-seat open kitchen and creative space located in the seaside town, Busselton in Western Australia’s southwest. Ben started his career in his hometown of Ottawa when he was 17 years old, however, his talent, hard work and passion soon landed him a position at three Michelin star restaurant, Eleven Madison Park in New York City. Following Ben’s time in New York, he was appointed as the head chef of what is widely regarded as the best restaurant in the world, Noma, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Ben held this position for six years and worked in Japan, Australia and Mexico during his time with Noma. Ben is passionate about using hyper-seasonal produce and working closely with farmers and growers, which led him to the southwest of Australia.
